KBR is seeking a Help Desk / Systems Administrator to join our Cyber Security Solutions (CSS) Operating Unit. CSS delivers defensive cyber services and solutions to the DoD, Federal Agencies, and Intelligence Community. The Division has the expertise and experience in leading edge cyber technologies and develops its own solutions to prevent unauthorized access to Information and Operational Technology networks and devices. The Help Desk / Systems Administrator will support the 33rd Cyberspace Operations Squadron’s Defensive Cyber Operations Team onsite at Lackland Air Force Base. Responsibilities include performing ACD Help Desk/Systems Administration services supporting all 33 NWS mission networks under operational direction of the 33 NWS MA Directorate, systems administration support on both NIPRNet and SIPRNet and supported special enclaves during mission hours, coordinating problem remediation actions with Engineering Flight and external units, supporting systems administration of operational networks, COOP network, training network, local base NIPRNet and SIPRNet CSA actions, and AOL deployment maintenance analysis. The role involves installation, upgrades, daily maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and software including UNIX-based, Windows-based, and VMware-based operating systems, workstations, anti-virus software, printers, Cybex switches, fiber optic media, gigabit Ethernet, and 100BaseT network operations. Additional duties include network account administrative functions, creating and deleting user accounts within two working days, tracking user privileges, ensuring ACD user workstations are secure and properly configured within TCNO deadlines, and incorporating approved client network trouble ticketing procedures. Required skills include experience with administrative maintenance, configuration and troubleshooting of commercial software suites, working knowledge of Linux, Windows, VMware operating systems, and other network components. The candidate must have a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment interacting with DoD, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners. Basic qualifications include a current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility, at least two certifications with the ability to obtain a third prior to starting work, specific DoD Directive 8570 IAT Level II certifications, and one entry-level certification from a specified list. Education/Experience required is a high school diploma or equivalent and 0-2 years’ experience.
