Meeting & Events Planner Job ID 215827 Posted 22-Apr-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Administrative Location(s) Cambridge - Massachusetts - United States of America About the Role: This position is responsible for planning of multiple events including meeting with clients to work out event details, scheduled, scout and book locations, food, entertainment, staff and manage the setup/cleanup of the event. This job is part of the Workplace Experience function. They are responsible for providing world-class customer service to the clients and visitors of a designated building. What You’ll Do: Timely & professional communication with internal and external clients. Coordinates on-site and off-site location set up (outside of conference center space) along with AV needs; Plans seating, dining, and guest list. Maintains a working relationship with vendors and venues. Has a strong knowledge of venues and vendor offerings while taking clients on tours of venue possibilities. Plans event entertainment, including music, performers, and guest speakers. Requests and reviews invoices in a timely manner; creates comprehensive financial reports. Plans services for events such as transportation for guests, special needs requirements, and event security. Communicates with marketing team to create effective advertisements for each event. Performs other duties as assigned. What You’ll Need: High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role. This includes stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs. Must be able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. A comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function is required. Ability to evaluate and communicate unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, OneNote, Outlook, etc. Comfortable with and embracing of new technologies and digital tools; such as Apps, databases, financial management, work order management, social networking, cloud technologies, handheld mobile technologies and applications, and communications. Ability to work in multiple software platforms and learn and retain technical software applications quickly. Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset. Advanced math skills. The minimum salary for the Meetings & Events Associate position is $55,000 annually [or $26.45 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Meetings & Events Associate position is $65,500 annually [or $31.50 per hour]. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
