This job is eligible to participate in IP's short -term incentive plan._ **Category/Shift** : Salaried Full-Time **Physical Location** : 100 Jensen Road Prattville, AL This position reports to the Finished Products Manager and is responsible for all aspects of managing Traffic, Secondary Fiber and Shipping activities for a fully integrated Pulp and Paper Manufacturing facility. The Secondary Fiber area produces 500 tons per day of recycled fiber to support paper machine production and provide incremental fiber during virgin pulp production upsets. The Shipping area functions as a warehouse to store and ship finished product (paper rolls) via rail and truck to internal and external customers (box plants). Additionally, Shipping must move rolls reliably to sustain our internal customers, the paper machines by developing the systems to manage inventory of 1500 rolls or less. The candidate must manage in a goal-oriented environment to deliver targeted results in the areas of Safety, Employee Engagement and Reliability Excellence. Conducting 1-1s with employees to provide guidance and development is also required. **The Job You Will Perform:** + Demonstrate leadership in the area of safety; support broad based participation in the mill's safety process. + Continue to develop and nurture a team-based organization committed to employee participation and teamwork, to ensure the success of the Prattville Mill. Utilize CSA process to align Balance Scorecard initiatives to personal objectives. Manage the performance for a large team of hourly employees. + Maintain a focus on developing a strong reliability culture where a clear partnership exists between Maintenance and Operations. + Manage the area to achieve budget manufacturing costs, working and ensuring appropriate attention to cost issues and searching for new methods to allow cost reductions. + Set expectations and hold both teams and individuals accountable for results. Shipping and Warehouse Functions: + Responsible for the safety, quality, and productivity of the Shipping Team. + Responsible for working with the Team to mitigate safety concerns and develop a culture of Safety Above All Else. + Responsible for creating a culture where team members have a line of sight on how their work impacts the success of the Finished Products department. + Responsible for developing the systems to manage the Warehouse roll inventory to 1500 rolls or less. Secondary Fiber Functions: + Responsible for the safety, reliability, quality, and productivity of a 500 tpd recycle fiber plant. + Responsible for empowering team members to have a culture of ownership for the productivity of the Secondary Fiber Department which is essential for the overall fiber balance of the Prattville Mill. + Responsible for driving initiatives to improve secondary fiber yield. + Support the MWS processes to drive improved daily and outage maintenance execution.
